October 10
Day 140
Hab. 3:17-19 Though the
fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though
the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle
in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God
of my salvation. The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet
like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk on my high places. For the choir
director, on my stringed instruments. <
David
took a trip today (a rather short one!!) from Room 907 to Room 903
(which is closer to the nurses' station and therefore
easier for them to check on him.) Jenny and Rebekah decorated his room
with some of his "mild" posters. We are glad that so many are taking
time to come and see David. Thank you for your kindness and
thoughtfulness.
Remember if you go to see David: talk to him like you normally would
because we are convinced he does hear you and can understand most if
not all of what you say (though he may not "respond"). Tell him what's
been going on in your life, remind him of things of the past
(especially if you did it together with him.) We are convinced that
such conversations will help him recover. Please continue to ask our
Heavenly Father for grace to be given to David and to us.
Titus 2:11-15 For the
grace of God has
appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny
ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and
godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the
appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who
gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify
for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no
one disregard you.
