Day 233
Romans 11:33-12:2 Oh, the depth of the
riches both
of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments
and unfathomable His ways! For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR
WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT
BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? For from Him and through Him and to Him are
all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen. Therefore I urge you,
brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and
holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of
worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by
the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God
is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
We
believe that David is becoming more interactive as the dose of Kepra
(an anti-seizure drug) is decreasing. We have several reports from
friends which relate his interaction. This gives us increased hope for
future improvement. Please continue to pray for David's cognitive
improvement, relief from his tonality, for his spiritual growth in
grace, and for the recovery of his voice and movement. They are trying
the use of an anti-depressant (lexapro) for
a few weeks to see if it helps. Pray for our wisdom as we monitor this
trial. We continue to work on the renovation of our house to bring
David home. Slow progress. If there is anyone in the Greenville area
who is skilled (or semi-skilled) in laying brick and forming concrete,
I could certainly use your help. We have a small amount of brickwork
(about 16 ft of 13 inch high wall). Thanks for everyone's help in many
ways - please keep praying!!

Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now
all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through
Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was
in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their
trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of
reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be
reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf,
so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
