Day 268
James
2:17-20 Even so
faith, if it has no works, is
dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, “You have faith and I
have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you
my faith by my works.” You believe that God is one. You do well; the
demons also believe, and shudder. But are you willing to recognize, you
foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?
David continues to make slow (very, very slow)
improvement - for which, we are very thankful and give praise to our
Risen Savior. The myofascial release therapy continues to amaze us - he
is often bent sideways so much that you cannot put one finger between
his hip bone
and his lowest rib. After the therapy you can put your whole hand
between his hip and lowest rib. We are looking forward to getting him
admitted to Roger C. Peace Rehab in the next few weeks - please pray
that our Lord would remove roadblocks and that the time there will be
helpful for David. We are also hopeful that his eye reconstruction will
be completed in the next few weeks. We hope to make significant
progress in our home renovations soon - pray to that end please. Pray
for David's Spiritual encouragement and for his growth in grace. Pray
specifically that he would be able to recall Scriptural truth and that
would encourage him. Pray for us - for
perseverance and patience and gratitude.
Jude 1:20-25 But you, beloved,
building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy
Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the
mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some,
who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on
some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the
flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make
you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the
only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty,
dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
