Day 391

Psalm 89:1-4 I will sing of the lovingkindness of the LORD forever; To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth. For I have said, “Lovingkindness will be built up forever; In the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness.” “I have made a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant, I will establish your seed forever And build up your throne to all generations.” Selah.

We are surviving, but this is a lot of work!!

We are still in a "training period" - trying to get David and ourselves into a schedule, gather all the equipment we need, correct the mistakes we keep making, help with daily needs and therapies! There is a lot to report so I will do it item by item:
1) David is essentially completely healed from the minor eye surgery he had the day we left the hospital to come home. We are now waiting for the specialist who makes the front piece to his artificial eye to come to our house to measure and fit David with the prosthetic eye.
2) David's health seems to be good. He is strong, has gained back most of the weight he has lost since the accident. He has a wide range of movement in his right arm and leg, but almost none in his left limbs.
3)On Tuesday last week a nursing aide finally showed up to help Jenny from 8 am to 4 pm. She is very good, hard worker, diligent, punctual, and loves David - we are very pleased.
4) David's van is at the modifiers in Columbia - but it is not scheduled to be complete until the end of July. Please pray that it will be modified sooner - we could really use it.
5) We have some upcoming appointments with orthopedic docs - pray for an accurate diagnosis and prescription for David's stiffness. Pray for our discernment and wisdom.
6) Construction on David's room is essentially complete - I still need to install a countertop and file/storage cabinet.
7) Construction on the garage and rest of the house is moving along slowly - we hope to have the garage dried-in by this weekend. Robert has a very busy next week - we have our combined Bible/Sports/Music camp beginning next Monday (June 21) This camp goes from early morning until late at night -whew!! Pray that the children will be instructed and encouraged in their Christian walk.
8) We not only have to take care of David, but it seems a thousand creditors (doctors, hospitals, labs, etc.) want money from us. 9) Pray for Jenny as she bears the major load of caring for David all day and well into the evening. Pray for her strength, wisdom, learning, etc. 10) Please pray for David's growth - Spiritually, physically, mentally.

Colossians 1:9-15 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
