Day 361

Rev. 4:1-3,8-11 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME.” And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.”

Last Monday, May 10, David underwent the surgery to implant the Baclofen pump. The surgery went well. The dosage was set at 100 micrograms and has been progressively increased to 350. So far, there has been some relaxing of the tone in his muscles. The therapists have been encouraged by increased range in both arms. So he has casts on both arms in order to maintain and increase the range (amount of movement).
David’s speech therapist is very happy with his vocalizing. He has been able to make different sounds and copy some of the sounds she makes. He is still having some stomach problems, probably due to a change in his tube feeding. Hopefully, between his doctor, the dietician, Mom, and good nursing, this problem can be worked out soon. When he stops vomiting, he will be able to start eating by mouth again.

The room is progressing. We just have some touch up painting to do; the marble shower surround will hopefully be installed this week; Robert should be able to install the toilet and sink this week. The biggest job is still to get the garage finished so we can bring David in out of the weather. (When we get the van!)

Colossians 3:14-17 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
