Day 423

John 9:1-5 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. “We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. “While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”

David has had an "up and down" 2 weeks since we last updated the site. He continues to have good health overall and he eats more and more each day and is eating a wider variety of foods. He continues to amaze us with what he can recall (we usually find out when he starts laughing or smiling large when he hears us talking about incidents from the past)

He also has been in some kind of pain for a good part of the last week, though he seems to be better now. We could never pinpoint the cause (or cure) of the pain. It is very baffling. Please pray that he will not have a recurrence of this pain.

Jenny continues to pour her life into caring for David and she is usually very tired at the end of the day (usually at about 11 pm or later) She is sleeping in the room with David to care for him at night. Sometimes he sleeps fairly well but other nights he keeps us up.

David did not get his prosthetic eye this past week - we are waiting for the opthamologist and prosthetic specialist to work out some details. Please pray that he will be able to get the prosthetic eye this week.

Please pray that the modifications to David's van will be done in the next week or so. Also pray that we will be able to complete the work on our house and garage - we are tired of all this work but grateful to God for His sustaining grace. Please pray for us as we try to help David recover and make decisions on his care and provisions fro his needs.

1 Tim. 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
