Day 184
Heb.
1:1-4 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in
many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in
His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He
made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact
representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His
power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right
hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the
angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
David
had another good week - although it was there was nothing as
spectacular as his "Noooooooo" from last week. He continues to gain
weight and looks much better (he's up to a massive 125 lbs.!!!!) He
also continues to have temperature spikes, though still not up to the
level they were before. He moves his right leg a good bit and also his
right arm. WE had a busy week - I was on "vacation" from the church but
not from work!! We completed most of the jobs that we began when we
were planning to sell our home. And we finally cleared all the items
out of our garage (no small feat - we put away, gave away, threw away,
put into use, etc. all the items). Now starts the actual renovation of
the garage and the building of
a new garage. We have about finalized the plans and have obtained the
building permits and approval from the homeowners association of our
neighborhood. We also met on Tuesday with two state agencies that may
be able to help financially with the renovation. We will be required to
fill out paperwork, of course!! We also went to Riverside High School
on Wednesday to receive two generous checks from the Executive
committee of the student government and
the Representative Committee (of all the homerooms). We are extremely
grateful to these hardworking young people who gave of themselves and
their time to help us in our need. We will be spending our Thanksgiving
here in Greenville since we don't want to leave David during the
holidays. Please continue to pray for David's recovery (in Spirit,
Mind, and Body) and for our strength and encouragement.
2Th.
3:13,16 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good. Now
may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every
circumstance. The Lord be with you all!
