Day 163

Various Proverbs:
All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the LORD weighs the motives. Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established. (16:2-3)
The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. (16:9)
Prepare plans by consultation, And make war by wise guidance. (20:18)
The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, But everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty. (21:5)

David continues to improve little by little: in this past week he moved not only his right leg but also his left leg (a very little.) He continues to enjoy visitors and especially enjoyed some live music that one church brought to the nursing facility. Pray that he will continue to improve in his ability to move and to speak. Pray also that as his body and mind is restored by our Lord, so also will he strengthen his spirit by the Spirit of Christ. Pray for us as we continue plans and construction and legal requirements to modify our home to bring David home. We seem to stay tired and the house is a mess (which always makes Jenny tired!!)

Romans 5:6-11 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
