October 8
Day 138
Romans 4:3-8 For what
does the Scripture say?
“ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.”
Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as
what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who
justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as
David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits
righteousness apart from works: “BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS
HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN,AND WHOSE SINS HAVE BEEN COVERED. “BLESSED IS THE
MAN WHOSE SIN THE LORD WILL NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT.”
David continues to
do
well overall at Summit Place. The nurses, therapists, nursing
assistants, and other staff have taken a special interest in David's
wellbeing. Jenny gave David a hair cut - he looks much better.
We are hoping to hear from the Opthamologist that performed the plastic
surgery on David's right eye. Hopefully He will be able to complete the
prosthetic work on that eye soon. Please pray for David's "tonality" to
decrease and ask our Lord to heal his mind and allow him to speak and
move again. Pray for our perseverence and wisdom.
"For men swear by one
greater than themselves, and with them an oath
given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. In the same way God,
desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the
unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by
two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we
who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of
the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a
hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,
where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high
priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek."
